Anne Celeste Heche is an American actor who was known for her wide variety of roles in films, television, and theatre. Her achievements include a Daytime Emmy Award, a National Board of Review Award as well as many other awards. Between 1987 and 1991, she received fame for her performance as the twin of Vicky Hudson's Marley Love. This led to two Soap Opera Digest Awards and an Daytime Emmy Award. Anne Lockhart (born Anne Kathleen Maloney September 6 1953) is an American actress. She is known best for her character of Lieutenant Sheba in her role in the Battlestar Galactica television series (1978-1979). She's the daughter and granddaughter of actor Gene Lockhart. Lockhart started her acting career at very young age. For T is for Tumbleweed, her first movie role was aged four. The short film about the subject was chosen for nomination for the Oscar Awards. She would spend time working on set along with her mother so she could learn the intricacies of the business world. Lockhart was even a part of many Lassie episodes. Dora in Jory, 1972 was the first film she appeared in by Lockhart. At age 18 she played the daughter of Joan Crawford in 1972 television series The Sixth Sense. Joan acted in this episode for the final time. Anne had reportedly turned down Laurie Strode (John Carpenter's 1978 Halloween thriller) and Jaime Lee Curtis took the part. Mr. Carpenter says that he was interested in her playing the character but that she turned the offer down. Anne does not remember being being contacted by John Carpenter nor being offered the position. It could be that her agent turned it off without notifying Anne. Glen Larson chose her initially and gave her a preliminary written script. She was to appear in the TV series Battlestar Galactica, which aired in 1978. She originally rejected the position due to the fact that she thought her character was weak. Then Glen wrote a new part specifically for her, with a much stronger character named Sheba. The Living Legend's first 25-page script was read by her, and she immediately endorsed it. The show ran for just one season. The actress starred alongside Desi Arnaz Jr. (son of Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball) Melanie Griffith and Robert Carradine in the movie Joyride (1977) as well as co-starred with Michael Moriarty in the horror film The Dark Tower (1987).
