Anne Celeste Heche is an American actor who was known for her wide variety of roles in films, television, and theatre. Anne Lockhart (born Anne Kathleen Maloney September 6 1953) is an American actress. She is known best for her character of Lieutenant Sheba in her role in the Battlestar Galactica television series (1978-1979). She's the daughter and granddaughter of actor Gene Lockhart. Mr. Carpenter says that he was interested in her playing the character but that she turned the offer down. Anne does not remember being being contacted by John Carpenter nor being offered the position. It could be that her agent turned it off without notifying Anne. Glen Larson chose her initially and gave her a preliminary written script. She was to appear in the TV series Battlestar Galactica, which aired in 1978. She originally rejected the position due to the fact that she thought her character was weak. Then Glen wrote a new part specifically for her, with a much stronger character named Sheba. The Living Legend's first 25-page script was read by her, and she immediately endorsed it. The show ran for just one season. The actress starred alongside Desi Arnaz Jr. (son of Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball) Melanie Griffith and Robert Carradine in the movie Joyride (1977) as well as co-starred with Michael Moriarty in the horror film The Dark Tower (1987).
